RS232 to RS485 auto enabled converter with DB9 connector.
The 485-9E auto enabled converter provides error free half-duplex data communication utilizing the standard RS485 protocol. The RS485 driver is automatically enabled using an algorithm in the on board microprocessor providing fast multi-drop capability for a variety of applications using the single pair RS485 differential signals. No dip switches to set!
We created the industry's first fully automatic self-adjusting microprocessor based Auto Enabled RS232 to RS485 converter. For the next generation of auto enabled converters see our XP485-25E converter.
Distances in excess of 4000 feet are easily attained with the 485-9E data converter.
These interface drivers conveniently plug into the DB9 connector commonly found on the standard IBM-PC.
The 485-9E can operate for both DTE and DCE configurations with the possible addition of a NULL modem converter for certain DCE applications.
